1Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
1И пришли дочери Салпаада, сына Хеферова, сына Галаадова, сына Махирова, сына Манассиина из поколения Манассии, сына Иосифова, и вот имена дочерей его: Махла, Ноа, Хогла, Милка и Фирца;
2And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
2и предстали пред Моисея и пред Елеазара священника, и пред князей и пред все общество, у входа скинии собрания, и сказали:
3Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.
3отец наш умер в пустыне, и он не был в числе сообщников, собравшихся против Господа со скопищем Кореевым, но за свой грех умер, и сыновей у него не было;
4Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.
4за что исчезать имени отца нашего из племени его, потому что нет у него сына? дай нам удел среди братьев отца нашего.
5And Moses brought their cause before the LORD .
5И представил Моисей дело их Господу.
6¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
6И сказал Господь Моисею:
7The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
7правду говорят дочери Салпаадовы; дай им наследственный удел среди братьев отца их и передай им удел отца их;
8And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
8и сынам Израилевым объяви и скажи: если кто умрет, не имея у себя сына, то передавайте удел его дочери его;
9And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.
9если же нет у него дочери, передавайте удел его братьям его;
10And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren.
10если же нет у него братьев, отдайте удел его братьям отца его;
11And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.
11если же нет братьев отца его, отдайте удел его близкому его родственнику из поколения его, чтоб он наследовал его; и да будет это для сынов Израилевых постановлено в закон, как повелел Господь Моисею.
12¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
12И сказал Господь Моисею: взойди на сию гору Аварим, которая по эту сторону Иордана, на сию гору Нево, и посмотри на землю Ханаанскую, которую Я даю сынам Израилевым во владение;
13And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.
13и когда посмотришь на нее, приложись к народу своему и ты, как приложился Аарон, брат твой, на горе Ор;
14For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
14потому что вы не послушались повеления Моего в пустыне Син, во время распри общества, чтоб явить пред глазами их святость Мою при водах. Это воды Меривы при Кадесе в пустыне Син.
15¶ And Moses spake unto the LORD , saying,
15И сказал Моисей Господу, говоря:
16Let the LORD , the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
16да поставит Господь, Бог духов всякой плоти, над обществом сим человека,
17Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
17который выходил бы пред ними и который входил бы пред ними, который выводил бы их и который приводил бы их, чтобы не осталось общество Господне, как овцы, у которых нет пастыря.
18¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;
18И сказал Господь Моисею: возьми себе Иисуса, сына Навина, человека, в котором есть Дух, и возложи на него руку твою,
19And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
19и поставь его пред Елеазаром священником и пред всем обществом, и дай ему наставление пред глазами их,
20And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
20и дай ему от славы твоей, чтобы слушало его все общество сынов Израилевых;
21And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD : at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
21и будет он обращаться к Елеазару священнику и спрашивать его о решении, посредством урима пред Господом; и по его слову должны выходить, и по его слову должны входить он и все сыны Израилевы с ним и все общество.
22And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
22И сделал Моисей, как повелел ему Господь Бог, и взял Иисуса, и поставил его пред Елеазаром священником и пред всем обществом;
23And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
23и возложил на него руки свои и дал ему наставление, как говорил Господь чрез Моисея.
