1The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
1ⲠϪⲰⲘ ⲘⲘⲒⲤⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲆⲀⲨⲒⲆ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲀⲂⲢⲀⲀⲘ.
2Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
2ⲀⲂⲢⲀⲀⲘ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲤⲀⲀⲔ ⲒⲤⲀⲀⲔ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂ ⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈϤⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ.
3And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
3ⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲪⲀⲢⲈⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲌⲀⲢⲀ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲀⲘⲀⲢ ⲪⲀⲢⲈⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲈⲤⲢⲰⲘ. ⲈⲤⲢⲰⲘ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲀⲢⲀⲘ.
4And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
4ⲀⲢⲀⲘ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲀⲘⲒⲚⲀⲆⲀⲂ ⲀⲘⲒⲚⲀⲆⲀⲂ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲚⲀⲤⲤⲰⲚ ⲚⲀⲤⲤⲰⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲤⲀⲖⲘⲰⲚ.
5And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
5ⲤⲀⲖⲘⲰⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲂⲞⲈⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲢⲎⲬⲀⲂ ⲂⲞⲈⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲞⲨⲂⲎⲆ ⲒⲞⲨⲂⲎⲆ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲈⲤⲤⲈ.
6And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
6ⲒⲈⲤⲤⲈ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲆⲀⲨⲒⲆ ⲆⲀⲨⲒⲆ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲤⲞⲖⲞⲘⲰⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲀ ⲞⲨⲢⲒⲀⲤ.
7And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;
7ⲤⲞⲖⲞⲘⲰⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲢⲞⲂⲞⲀⲘ ⲢⲞⲂⲞⲀⲘ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲀⲂⲒⲀ ⲀⲂⲒⲀ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲀⲤⲀⲪ.
8And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;
8ⲀⲤⲀⲪ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲰⲤⲀⲪⲀⲦ ⲒⲰⲤⲀⲪⲀⲦ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲰⲢⲀⲘ ⲒⲰⲢⲀⲘ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲞⲌⲒⲀⲤ.
9And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;
9ⲞⲌⲒⲀⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲰⲀⲐⲀⲘ ⲒⲰⲀⲐⲀⲘ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲀⲬⲀⲌ ⲀⲬⲀⲌ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲈⲌⲈⲔⲒⲀⲤ.
10And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;
10ⲈⲌⲈⲔⲒⲀⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲘⲀⲚⲀⲤⲤⲎ ⲘⲀⲚⲀⲤⲤⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲀⲘⲰⲤ ⲀⲘⲰⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲰⲤⲒⲀⲤ.
11And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:
11ⲒⲰⲤⲒⲀⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲈⲬⲞⲚⲒⲀⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈϤⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ϨⲒ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲂⲀⲂⲨⲖⲰⲚ.
12And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
12ⲘⲈⲚⲈⲚⲤⲀ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲂⲀⲂⲨⲖⲰⲚ ⲒⲈⲬⲞⲚⲒⲀⲤ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲤⲀⲖⲀⲐⲒⲎⲖ ⲤⲀⲖⲀⲐⲒⲎⲖ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲌⲞⲢⲞⲂⲀⲂⲈⲖ.
13And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
13ⲌⲞⲢⲞⲂⲀⲂⲈⲖ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲀⲂⲒⲞⲨⲆ ⲀⲂⲒⲞⲨⲆ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲈⲖⲒⲀⲔⲒⲘ ⲈⲖⲒⲀⲔⲒⲘ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲀⲌⲰⲢ.
14And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
14ⲀⲌⲰⲢ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲤⲀⲆⲰⲔ ⲤⲀⲆⲰⲔ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲀⲬⲒⲚ ⲀⲬⲒⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲈⲖⲒⲞⲨⲆ.
15And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
15ⲈⲖⲒⲞⲨⲆ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲈⲖⲈⲀⲌⲀⲢ ⲈⲖⲈⲀⲌⲀⲢ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲘⲀⲦⲐⲀⲚ ⲘⲀⲦⲐⲀⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂ.
16And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
16ⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϪⲪⲈ ⲒⲰⲤⲎⲪ ⲠϨⲀⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲘⲈⲤ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ.
17So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
17ϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ⲀⲂⲢⲀⲀⲘ ϢⲀ ⲆⲀⲨⲒⲆ ⲒⲆ ⲚϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ⲆⲀⲨⲒⲆ ϢⲀ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲂⲀⲂⲨⲖⲰⲚ ⲒⲆ ⲚϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲂⲀⲂⲨⲖⲰⲚ ϢⲀ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲒⲆ ⲚϪⲰⲞⲨ.
18¶ Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
18ⲠϪⲒⲚⲘⲒⲤⲒ ⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲞⲨ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲰⲠ ⲚⲤⲀⲦⲈϤⲘⲀⲨ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲒⲰⲤⲎⲪ ⲘⲠⲀⲦⲞⲨⲤⲞⲨⲈⲚ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲢⲎⲞⲨ ⲀⲨϪⲈⲘⲤ ⲈⲤⲘⲂⲞⲔⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲈϤⲞⲨⲀⲂ.
19Then Joseph her husband, being a just man , and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
19ⲒⲰⲤⲎⲪ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈⲤϨⲀⲒ ⲚⲈⲞⲨⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚϤⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲀⲒⲤ ⲚⲤⲢⲀϨ ⲀϤⲤⲞϬⲚⲒ ⲈⲬⲀⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲬⲰⲠ.
20But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
20ⲚⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲘⲞⲔⲘⲈⲔ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲒⲤ ⲞⲨⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲀϤⲞⲨⲞⲚϨϤ ⲈⲒⲰⲤⲎ ⲪϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲢⲀⲤⲞⲨⲒ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲒⲰⲤⲎⲪ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲆⲀⲨⲒⲆ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲈⲢϨⲞϮ ⲈϢⲈⲠ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲦⲈⲔⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲈⲢⲞⲔ ⲪⲎ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲦⲈⲤⲚⲀⲘⲀⲤϤ ⲞⲨⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲈϤⲞⲨⲀⲂ ⲠⲈ.
21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
21ⲈⲤⲈⲘⲒⲤⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲞⲨϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲈⲔⲈⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲠⲈϤⲢⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲖⲀⲞⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲞⲨⲚⲞⲂⲒ.
22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
22ⲪⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲦⲎⲢϤ ⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ϪⲞϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲢⲞⲪⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ.
23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
23ϪⲈ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲒⲤ ϮⲠⲀⲢⲐⲈⲚⲞⲤ ⲈⲤⲈⲈⲢⲂⲞⲔⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲤⲈⲘⲒⲤⲒ ⲚⲞⲨϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲈⲨⲈⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲠⲈϤⲢⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲈⲘⲘⲀⲚⲞⲨⲎⲖ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈϢⲀⲨⲞⲨⲀϨⲘⲈϤ ϪⲈ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲈⲘⲀⲚ.
24Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
24ⲈⲦⲀϤⲦⲰⲚϤ ⲆⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲰⲤⲎⲪ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲚⲔⲞⲦ ⲀϤⲒⲢⲒ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲠⲒⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲞⲨⲀϨⲤⲀϨⲚⲒ ⲚⲀϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϢⲈⲠ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲦⲈϤⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲈⲢⲞϤ.
25And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
25ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲤⲞⲨⲰⲚⲤ ϢⲀⲦⲈⲤⲘⲒⲤⲒ ⲘⲠⲒϢⲎ ⲢⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲠⲈϤⲢⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ.
