54And ye shall inherit the land by lot according to your families — to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer thou shalt give the less inheritance; wheresoever the lot falleth to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye inherit.
54Pea te mou tufa ʻae fonua ʻi he talotalo ʻae ngaahi tofiʻa ki homou ngaahi faʻahinga: pea ki he tokolahi ke mou tuku honau tofiʻa ke lahi, pea ki he tokosiʻi te mou tuku honau tofiʻa ke siʻi: ʻe ʻi he tangata taki taha, ʻae tofiʻa ʻoe potu kuo ne maʻu ʻi he talotalo, te mou maʻu ia ʻo fakatatau ki he ngaahi faʻahinga ʻo hoʻomou ngaahi tamai
55But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as thorns in your eyes, and as pricks in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land wherein ye dwell.
55Pea kapau ʻe ʻikai te mou kapusi ʻae kakai ʻoe fonua ʻi homou ʻao; ʻe toki hoko ʻo pehē, ko kinautolu ʻoku mou tuku ke toe ʻiate kinautolu, te nau hoko ko e talatala ki homou mata, mo e ngaahi ʻakau talatala ki homou vakavaka, pea tenau fakafiuʻi ʻakimoutolu ʻi he fonua ʻoku mou nofo ai.
