1Then came near the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel;
1Καὶ προσήλθοσαν οἱ ἀρχιπατριῶται τῶν υἱῶν Λευὶ πρὸς Ἐλεάζαρ τὸν ἱερέα, καὶ Ἰησοῦν τὸν τοῦ Ναυῆ, καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἀρχιφύλους πατριῶν ἐκ τῶν φυλῶν Ἰσραήλ·
2and they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying: 'The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the open land thereabout for our cattle.'
2Καὶ εἶπον πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἐν Σηλὼ ἐν γῇ Χαναὰν, λέγοντες, ἐνετείλατο Κύριος ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ δοῦναι ἡμῖν πόλεις κατοικεῖν, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια τοῖς κτήνεσιν ἡμῶν.
3And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of the LORD, these cities with the open land about them.
3Καὶ ἔδωκαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ τοῖς Λευίταις ἐν τῷ κατακληρονομεῖν διὰ προστάγματος Κυρίου τὰς πόλεις καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῶν.
4And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites; and the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
4Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος τῷ δήμῳ Καάθ· καὶ ἐγένετο τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἀαρὼν τοῖς ἱερεῦσι τοῖς Λευίταις ἀπὸ φυλῆς Ἰούδα καὶ ἀπὸ φυλῆς Συμεὼν καὶ ἀπὸ φυλῆς Βενιαμὶν κληρωτὶ, πόλεις δεκατρεῖς.
5And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
5Καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Καὰθ τοῖς καταλελειμμένοις ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ἐφραὶμ καὶ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Δὰν καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασσῆ κληρωτὶ, πόλεις δέκα.
6And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
6Καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Γεδσὼν ἀπὸ τῆς φυλῆς Ἰσσάχαρ καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς φυλῆς Ἀσὴρ καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς φυλῆς Νεφθαλὶ καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασσῆ ἐν τῇ Βασὰν, πόλεις δεκατρεῖς.
7The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
7Καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Μεραρὶ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν ἀπὸ φυλῆς Ῥουβὴν καὶ ἀπὸ φυλῆς Γὰδ καὶ ἀπὸ φυλῆς Ζαβουλὼν κληρωτὶ, πόλεις δώδεκα.
8And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with the open land about them, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
8Καὶ ἔδωκαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ τοῖς Λευίταις τὰς πόλεις καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῶν, ὃν τρόπον ἐνετείλατο Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ, κληρωτί.
9And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name.
9Καὶ ἔδωκεν ἡ φυλὴ υἱῶν Ἰούδα καὶ ἡ φυλὴ υἱῶν Συμεὼν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς φυλῆς υἱῶν Βενιαμὶν τὰς πόλεις ταύτας· καὶ ἐπεκλήθησαν
10And they were for the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.
10τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἀαρὼν ἀπὸ τοῦ δήμου τοῦ Καὰθ τῶν υἱῶν Λευὶ, ὅτι τούτοις ἐγενήθη ὁ κλῆρος.
11And they gave them Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak — the same is Hebron — in the hill-country of Judah, with the open land round about it.
11Καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς τὴν Καριαθαρβὸκ μητρόπολιν τῶν Ἐνάκ· αὕτη ἐστὶ Χεβρὼν ἐν τῷ ὄρει Ἰούδα· τὰ δὲ περισπόρια κύκλῳ αὐτῆς,
12But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
12καὶ τοὺς ἀγροὺς τῆς πόλεως, καὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτῆς ἔδωκεν Ἰησοῦς τοῖς υἱοῖς Χάλεβ υἱοῦ Ἰεφοννὴ ἐν κατασχέσει.
13And unto the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with the open land about it;
13Καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἀαρὼν ἔδωκε τὴν πόλιν φυγαδευτήριον τῷ φονεύσαντι, τὴν Χεβρὼν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα τὰ σὺν αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Λεμνὰ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα τὰ πρὸς αὐτῇ·
14and Jattir with the open land about it, and Eshtemoa with the open land about it;
14Καὶ τὴν Αἰλὼμ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Τεμὰ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ·
15and Holon with the open land about it, and Debir with the open land about it;
15Καὶ τὴν Γελλὰ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Δαβὶρ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ·
16and Ain with the open land about it, and Juttah with the open land about it, and Beth-shemesh with the open land about it; nine cities out of those two tribes.
16Καὶ Ἀσὰ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ Τανὺ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ Βαιθσαμὺς, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· πόλεις ἐννέα παρὰ τῶν δύο φυλῶν τούτων.
17And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with the open land about it, Geba with the open land about it;
17Καὶ παρὰ τῆς φυλῆς Βενιαμὶν, τὴν Γαβαὼν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ Γαθὲθ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ·
18Anathoth with the open land about it, and Almon with the open land about it; four cities.
18Καὶ Ἀναθὼθ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ Γάμαλα, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· πόλεις τέσσαρες.
19All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with the open land about them.
19Πᾶσαι αἱ πόλεις υἱῶν Ἀαρὼν τῶν ἱερέων, δεκατρεῖς.
20And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the children of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.
20Καὶ τοῖς δήμοις υἱοῖς Καὰθ τοῖς Λευίταις τοῖς καταλελειμμένοις ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Καὰθ, καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡ πόλις τῶν ἱερέων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ φυλῆς Ἐφραίμ·
21And they gave them Shechem with the open land about it in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer with the open land about it;
21καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτοῖς τὴν πόλιν τοῦ φυγαδευτηρίου τὴν τοῦ φονεύσαντος, τὴν Συχὲμ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ Γάζαρα καὶ τὰ πρὸς αὐτὴν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ·
22and Kibzaim with the open land about it, and Beth-horon with the open land about it; four cities.
22Καὶ Βαιθωρὼν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα τὰ αὐτῇ· πόλεις τέσσαρες.
23And out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with the open land about it, Gibbethon with the open land about it;
23Καὶ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Δὰν, τὴν Ἑλκωθαὶμ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Γεθεδὰν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ·
24Aijalon with the open land about it, Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; four cities.
24Καὶ Αἰλὼν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Γεθερεμμὼν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· πόλεις τέσσαρες.
25And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with the open land about it, and Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; two cities.
25Καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασσῆ, τὴν Τανὰχ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Ἰεβαθὰ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· πόλεις δύο.
26All the cities of the families of the rest of the children of Kohath were ten with the open land about them.
26Πᾶσαι πόλεις δέκα, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ τὰ πρὸς αὐταῖς, τοῖς δήμοις υἱῶν Καὰθ τοῖς ὑπολελειμμένοις.
27And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Beeshterah with the open land about it; two cities.
27Καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Γεδσὼν τοῖς Λευίταις ἐκ τοῦ ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασσῆ τὰς πόλεις τὰς ἀφωρισμένας τοῖς φονεύσασι, τὴν Γαυλὼν ἐν τῇ Βασανίτιδι, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Βοσορὰν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· πόλεις δύο.
28And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with the open land about it, Dobrath with the open land about it;
28Καὶ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ἰσσάχαρ, τὴν Κισὼν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Δεββὰ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ·
29Jarmuth with the open land about it, En-gannim with the open land about it; four cities.
29Καὶ τὴν Ῥεμμὰθ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ Πηγὴν γραμμάτων, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· πόλεις τέσσαρες.
30And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with the open land about it, Abdon with the open land about it;
30Καὶ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ἀσὴρ τὴν Βασελλὰν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Δαββὼν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ·
31Helkath with the open land about it, and Rehob with the open land about it; four cities.
31Καὶ Χελκὰτ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Ῥαὰβ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· πόλεις τέσσαρες.
32And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Hammoth-dor with the open land about it, and Kartan with the open land about it; three cities.
32Καὶ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Νεφθαλὶ, τὴν πόλιν τὴν ἀφωρισμένην τῷ φονεύσαντι, τὴν Κάδης ἐν τῇ Γαλιλαίᾳ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ τὴν Νεμμὰθ, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· καὶ Θεμμὼν, καὶ τὰ ἀφωρισμένα αὐτῇ· πόλεις τρεῖς.
33All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with the open land about them.
33Πᾶσαι αἱ πόλεις τοῦ Γεδσὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, πόλεις δεκατρεῖς.
34And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with the open land about it, and Kartah with the open land about it;
34Καὶ τῷ δήμῳ υἱῶν Μεραρὶ τοῖς Λευίταις τοῖς λοιποῖς ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ζαβουλὼν, τὴν Μαὰν, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς· καὶ τὴν Κάδης, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς·
35Dimnah with the open land about it, Nahalal with the open land about it; four cities.
35Καὶ Σελλὰ, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς· πόλεις τρεῖς.
36And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with the open land about it, and Jahaz with the open land about it;
36Καὶ πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου τοῦ κατὰ Ἰεριχὼ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ῥουβὴν, τὴν πόλιν τὸ φυγαδευτήριον τοῦ φονεύσαντος, τὴν Βοσὸρ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ· τὴν Μισὼ, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς· καὶ τὴν Ἰαζὴρ, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς·
37Kedemoth with the open land about it, and Mephaath with the open land about it; four cities.
37καὶ τὴν Δεκμὼν, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς· καὶ τὴν Μαφὰ, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς· πόλεις τέσσαρες.
38And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Mahanaim with the open land about it;
38Καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς φυλῆς Γὰδ, τὴν πόλιν τὸ φυγαδευτήριον τοῦ φονεύσαντος, καὶ τὴν Ῥαμὼθ ἐν τῇ Γαλαὰδ, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς· τὴν Καμὶν, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς·
39Heshbon with the open land about it, Jazer with the open land about it; four cities in all.
39καὶ τὴν Ἐσβὼν, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς· καὶ τὴν Ἰαζὴρ, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῆς· πᾶσαι αἱ πόλεις τέσσαρες.
40All these were the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.
40Πᾶσαι αἱ πόλεις τοῖς υἱοῖς Μεραρὶ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν τῶν καταλελειμμένων ἀπὸ τῆς φυλῆς τῆς Λευί· καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αἱ πόλεις δεκαδύο.
41All the cities of the Levites — forty and eight cities with the open land about them — shall be in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel,
41Πᾶσαι πόλεις τῶν Λευιτῶν ἐν μέσῳ κατασχέσεως υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ, τεσσαρακονταοκτὼ πόλεις, καὶ τὰ περισπόρια αὐτῶν
42even these cities, every one with the open land round about it; thus it shall be with all these cities.
42κύκλῳ τῶν πόλεων τούτων· πόλις καὶ τὰ περισπόρια κύκλῳ τῆς πόλεως πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσι ταύταις· καὶ συνετέλεσεν Ἰησοῦς διαμερίσας τὴν γῆν ἐν τοῖς ὁρίοις αὐτῶν· καὶ ἔδωκαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ μερίδα τῷ Ἰησοῖ διὰ πρόσταγμα Κυρίου· ἔδωκαν αὐτῷ τὴν πόλιν, ἣν ᾐτήσατο· τὴν Θαμνασαχὰρ ἔδωκαν αὐτῷ ἐν τῷ ὄρει Ἐφραίμ· καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν Ἰησοῦς τὴν πόλιν, καὶ ᾤκησεν ἐν αὐτῇ· καὶ ἔλαβεν Ἰησοῦς τὰς μαχαίρας τὰς πετρίνας, ἐν αἷς περιέτεμε τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἰσραὴλ τοὺς γενομένους ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, καὶ ἔθηκεν αὐτὰς ἐν Θαμνασαχάρ.
43So the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which He swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
43Καὶ ἔδωκε Κύριος τῷ Ἰσραὴλ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν, ἣν ὤμοσε δοῦναι τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν· καὶ κατεκληρονόμησαν αὐτὴν, καὶ κατῴκησαν ἐν αὐτῇ.
44And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore unto their fathers; and there stood not a man of all their enemies against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
44Καὶ κατέπαυσεν αὐτοὺς Κύριος κυκλόθεν, καθότι ὤμοσε τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν· οὐκ ἀνέστη οὐθεὶς κατενώπιον αὐτῶν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν· πάντας τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτῶν παρέδωκε Κύριος εἰς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν.
45There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
45Οὐ διέπεσεν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ῥημάτων τῶν καλῶν, ὧν ἐλάλησε Κύριος τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ· πάντα παρεγένετο.
