1The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;
1Babylon siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar angraeng ah ohhaih saningto haih, Josiah capa Judah siangpahrang Jehoiakim angraenghaih saning palito haih naah, Judah kaminawk boih kawng pongah Jeremiah khaeah lok to angzoh,
2which Jeremiah the prophet spoke unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:
2to pongah tahmaa Jeremiah mah Judah kaminawk boih hoi Jerusalem ah kaom kaminawk boih khaeah;
3From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even unto this day, these three and twenty years, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, speaking betimes and often; but ye have not hearkened.
3Judah siangpahrang Amon capa Josiah angraenghaih saning hathlai thumto nathuem hoi vaihni ni khoek to, saning pumphae thumto thung, Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh, to lok to khawnthaw ah kang thawk moe, kang thuih o boeh, toe na tahngai o ai.
4And the LORD hath sent unto you all His servants the prophets, sending them betimes and often — but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear —
4Angraeng loe khawnthaw ah angthawk moe, a tamna tahmaanawk to nangcae khaeah ang patoeh; toe lok na tahngai pae o ai, thaih han ih naa doeh na patueng o ai.
5saying: 'Return ye now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers, for ever and ever;
5Nihcae mah, nangcae boih, vaihi na caeh o ih kasae loklam hoiah na sak o ih kasae hmuennawk hoiah amlaem oh ah loe, Angraeng mah nangmacae khae hoi nam panawk khaeah dungzan ah paek ih prae thungah om oh;
6and go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke Me not with the work of your hands, and I will do you no hurt.'
6kalah sithawnawk hnukah bang o hmah, a tok doeh sah pae o hmah, bok doeh bok o hmah; na ban hoiah sak ih hmuennawk hoiah kai palung na phui o sak hmah, to tih nahaeloe nganbawh kana kang paek o mak ai, tiah ang thuih o.
7Yet ye have not hearkened unto Me, saith the LORD; that ye might provoke Me with the work of your hands to your own hurt.
7Toe ka lok na tahngai o ai, nam ro o hanah, nangmacae ban hoi sak ih hmuen hoiah palung nang phui o sak, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
8Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts: Because ye have not heard My words,
8To pongah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah, Ka lok na tahngai o ai pongah,
9behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and I will send unto Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.
9khenah, aluek bang ih kaminawk boih hoi ka tamna Babylon siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar to ka kawk moe, hae prae hoi a thungah kaom kaminawk boih, hae kami taengah kaom kaminawk to laksak boih hanah ka patoeh han; anih mah nihcae to amrosak tih, nihcae to dawnraisak tih, hanghaih hoiah dungzan ah kang hmatsak zuep han.
10Moreover I will cause to cease from among them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
10Nihcae khae hoi anghoehaih lok, oephaih lok, zu la kami ih lok, sava sah kami ih lok, cang kaehhaih lok hoi hmaithawk paanghaih to ka lak pae ving han boeh.
11And this whole land shall be a desolation, and a waste; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
11Hae prae boih loe pong sut ueloe, dawnraihaih hoiah om o tih; hae kaminawk mah Babylon siangpahrang ih tok to saning qui sarihto thung sah pae o tih, tiah thuih.
12And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it perpetual desolations.
12Toe saning qui sarihto koep pacoengah loe, hae kaminawk nuiah sakpazae ih hmuen pongah, Babylon siangpahrang hoi anih ih kaminawk to ka thuitaek moe, dungzan khoek to ka pongsak han, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
13And I will bring upon that land all My words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
13Kaimah ka thuih ih nihcae misatukhaih loknawk boih, hae cabu thungah tahmaa Jeremiah mah tarik moe, thuih ih prae kaminawk misatukhaih loknawk to hae prae thungah ka phaksak boih han.
14For many nations and great kings shall make bondmen of them also; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their own hands.
14Babylon kaminawk loe pop parai, kalen parai kalah acaeng siangpahrangnawk ih misong ah om o tih; a sak o ih hmuen baktih, ban mah sak ih hmuen baktih toengah, nihcae nuiah ka sak pathok han, tiah thuih.
15For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto me: Take this cup of the wine of fury at My hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
15Hae ka ban pong ih palungphuihaih misurtui boengloeng hae la ah loe, naek han kang patoeh ih prae kaminawk boih to, naesak ah.
16And they shall drink, and reel to and fro, and be like madmen, because of the sword that I will send among them. —
16Nihcae salakah sumsen to ka patoeh han boeh pongah, nihcae mah naek o naah paqui o ueloe, amthu o boih tih, tiah Israel Angraeng Sithaw mah ang thuih.
17Then took I the cup of the LORD'S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:
17To pacoengah Angraeng ban pong ih boengloeng to ka lak moe, Angraeng mah kai khaeah patoeh ih prae kaminawk to ka naeksak boih:
18Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them an appalment, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;
18ka naeksak ih kaminawk loe Jerusalem hoi Judah vangpuinawk hoiah kamtong, vaihniah kaom hmuen baktiah, Judah siangpahrangnawk hoi ukkung angraengnawk loe palungsethaih, dawnraihaih, paciip paaahaih, tangoenghaih hoiah ohsak;
19Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
19to pacoengah Izip siangpahrang Faro hoi a tamnanawk, anih ih angraengnawk hoi anih ih kaminawk boih;
20and all the mingled people; and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
20to ah kaom congca kaminawk boih; Uz prae ih siangpahrangnawk boih; Philistin prae ih siangpahrangnawk boih, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron hoi Ashdod ih kanghmat kaminawk,
21Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;
21Edom, Moab hoi Ammon kaminawk,
22and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;
22Tura hoi Sidon ih siangpahrangnawk boih; tuipui thung ih prae ukkung siangpahrangnawk boih,
23Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that have the corners of their hair polled;
23Dedan, Tema, Buz hoi kangthla koek ahmuen ah kaom kaminawk boih,
24and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the wilderness;
24Arabia siangpahrangnawk boih, praezaek ah kaom congca kaminawk ih siangpahrangnawk boih,
25and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
25Zimri, Elam hoi Median ih siangpahrang boih,
26and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth. — And the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
26Maeto hoi maeto kangthla maw, kanghnai maw tih ai ah, aluek bang ih siangpahrangnawk boih; long nuiah kaom long pum ih praenawk to athum o boih; nihcae naek o pacoengah, Sheshak siangpahrang doeh nae toeng tih.
27And thou shalt say unto them: Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink ye, and be drunken, and spew, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
27Nihcae khaeah, misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng Israel Sithaw mah, Nae oh, paqui oh loe, palok oh, angthawk let han ai ah, nangcae khaeah ka patoeh han ih sumsen pongah, amtim oh, tiah thui paeh.
28And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thy hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them: Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Ye shall surely drink.
28Toe naek hanah na ban pong ih boengloeng lak han koeh o ai nahaeloe, nihcae khaeah, Na naek o han oh! tiah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah thuih, tiah thui pae ah.
29For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city whereupon My name is called, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.
29Khenah, Ka hmin hoi kawk ih vangpui nuiah amrohaih ka phaksak han, thuitaek ai ah na om o tih maw? Thuitaek ai ah na om o mak ai; long nuiah kaom kaminawk boih nuiah sumsen to ka patoeh han boeh, tiah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah thuih.
30Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them: The LORD doth roar from on high, and utter His voice from His holy habitation; He doth mightily roar because of His fold; He giveth a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
30Vaihi nihcae misa haih loknawk boih to thui paeh; nihcae khaeah, Angraeng loe hmuensang hoiah hang ueloe, a ohhaih hmuenciim hoiah lok to tacawt tih; a ohhaih ahmuen to hang thui tih, kaeh ih misurtui baktiah, long nui ih kaminawk to hang thui tih.
31A noise is come even to the end of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, He doth plead with all flesh; as for the wicked, He hath given them to the sword, saith the LORD.
31Long boeng khoek to a lok to amsong tih; Angraeng mah prae kaminawk to lokcaek boih tih, kaminawk boih lokcaek tih; kasae kaminawk to sumsen hoi hum hanah paek tih, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
32Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great storm shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.
32Misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah, Khenah, prae maeto hoi maeto ah amrohaih angcen tih; long boenghaih ahmuen hoiah kamhae takhi to song tih boeh, tiah thuih.
33And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground.
33To naah Angraeng mah hum ih kaminawk loe, long boenghaih maeto hoi kalah maeto bang khoek to om tih; nihcae to qah o haih mak ai, la o mak ai, aphum doeh aphum o mak ai; maiphu baktiah ni long ah om o tih.
34Wail, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the dust, ye leaders of the flock; for the days of your slaughter are fully come, and I will break you in pieces, and ye shall fall like a precious vessel.
34Nangcae tuutoep kaminawk, qah oh loe, hang oh; kalen koek tuu zaehoikungnawk, long ah maiphu angnok oh loe asawt oh; nangcae humhaih atue hoi ampraek phanghaih atue to phak boeh; nangcae loe atho kana laom baktiah na krah o tih.
35And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the leaders of the flock to escape.
35Tuutoep kaminawk loe cawnhaih ahmuen tawn o mak ai, kalen koek tuutoep kaminawk doeh loih o mak ai.
36Hark! the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the leaders of the flock! For the LORD despoileth their pasture.
36Angraeng mah nihcae prathaih ahmuen to phraek pae pongah, tuutoep kaminawk hoi kalen koek tuu zaehoikungnawk ih hanghaih lok to thaih o tih.
37And the peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
37Kanung parai Angraeng palungphuihaih pongah, kamongah ohhaih ahmuen to phraek o boeh.
38He hath forsaken His covert, as the lion; for their land is become a waste because of the fierceness of the oppressing sword, and because of His fierce anger.
38Kaipui mah a ohhaih ahmuen to caehtaak baktih toengah, anih mah a ohhaih ahmuen to caehtaak boeh; kana parai ah pacaekthlaek ih kami hoi kanung parai anih palungphuihaih pongah prae loe pong sut boeh.
