1ΚΑΙ ἀνέστη Ἐλιασοὺβ ὁ ἱερεὺς ὁ μέγας καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ ᾠκοδόμησαν τὴν πύλην τὴν προβατικήν. αὐτοὶ ἡγίασαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἔστησαν θύρας αὐτῆς καὶ ἕως πύργου τῶν ἑκατὸν ἡγίασαν ἕως πύργου Ἀναμεὴλ
1Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the sheep gate. They sanctified it, and set up its doors. They sanctified it even to the tower of Hammeah, to the tower of Hananel.
2καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρας ἀνδρῶν υἱῶν Ἱεριχὼ καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρας υἱῶν Ζακχούρ, υἱοῦ Ἀμαρί.
2Next to him the men of Jericho built. Next to them Zaccur the son of Imri built.
3καὶ τὴν πύλην τὴν ἰχθυηρὰν ᾠκοδόμησαν υἱοὶ Ἀσανά· αὐτοὶ ἐστέγασαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἔστησαν θύρας αὐτῆς καὶ κλεῖθρα αὐτῆς καὶ μοχλοὺς αὐτῆς.
3The sons of Hassenaah built the fish gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.
4καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτῶν κατέσχεν ἀπὸ Ραμὼθ υἱὸς Οὐρία, υἱοῦ Ἀκκώς. καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτῶν κατέσχε Μοσολλὰμ υἱὸς Βαραχίου υἱοῦ Μαζεβήλ, καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτῶν κατέσχε Σαδὼκ υἱὸς Βαανά.
4Next to them, Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz made repairs. Next to them, Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel made repairs. Next to them, Zadok the son of Baana made repairs.
5καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτῶν κατέσχοσαν οἱ Θεκωΐμ, καὶ ἀδωρηὲμ οὐκ εἰσήνεγκαν τράχηλον αὐτῶν εἰς δουλείαν αὐτῶν.
5Next to them, the Tekoites made repairs; but their nobles didn’t put their necks to the Lord’s work.
6καὶ τὴν πύλην Ἰασαναΐ ἐκράτησαν Ἰωϊδὰ υἱὸς Φασὲκ καὶ Μεσουλὰμ υἱὸς Βασωδία· αὐτοὶ ἐστέγασαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἔστησαν θύρας αὐτῆς καὶ κλεῖθρα αὐτῆς καὶ μοχλοὺς αὐτῆς.
6Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah repaired the old gate. They laid its beams and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.
7καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτῶν ἐκράτησαν Μαλτίας ὁ Γαβαωνίτης καὶ Εὐάρων ὁ Μηρωνωθίτης, ἄνδρες τῆς Γαβαὼν καὶ τῆς Μασφὰ ἕως θρόνου τοῦ ἄρχοντος τοῦ πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ,
7Next to them, Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, repaired the residence of the governor beyond the River.
8καὶ παρ' αὐτὸν παρησφαλίσατο Ὀζιὴλ υἱὸς Ἀραχίου πυρωτῶν. καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτῶν ἐκράτησεν Ἀνανίας υἱὸς τοῦ Ρωκεΐμ, καὶ κατέλιπον Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἕως τοῦ τείχους τοῦ πλατέος.
8Next to him, Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, made repairs. Next to him, Hananiah, one of the perfumers, made repairs, and they fortified Jerusalem even to the wide wall.
9καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτῶν ἐκράτησε Ραφαΐα υἱὸς Σούρ, ἄρχων ἡμίσους περιχώρου Ἱερουσαλήμ.
9Next to them, Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, made repairs.
10καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτῶν ἐκράτησεν Ἰεδαΐα υἱὸς Ἐρωμὰφ καὶ κατέναντι οἰκίας αὐτοῦ. καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐκράτησεν Ἀττοὺθ υἱὸς Ἀσαβανία.
10Next to them, Jedaiah the son of Harumaph made repairs across from his house. Next to him, Hattush the son of Hashabneiah made repairs.
11καὶ δεύτερος ἐκράτησε Μελχίας υἱὸς Ἠρὰμ καὶ Ἀσοὺβ υἱὸς Φαὰτ Μωὰβ καὶ ἕως πύργου τῶν θαννουρίμ.
11Malchijah the son of Harim and Hasshub the son of Pahathmoab repaired another portion and the tower of the furnaces.
12καὶ ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐκράτησε Σαλλοὺμ υἱὸς Ἀλλωῆς ἄρχων ἡμίσους περιχώρου Ἱερουσαλήμ, αὐτὸς καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτοῦ.
12Next to him, Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters made repairs.
13τὴν πύλην τῆς φάραγγος ἐκράτησαν Ἀνοὺν καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες Ζανώ· αὐτοὶ ᾠκοδόμησαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἔστησαν θύρας αὐτῆς καὶ κλεῖθρα αὐτῆς καὶ μοχλοὺς αὐτῆς καὶ χιλίους πήχεις ἐν τῷ τείχει ἕως τῆς πύλης τῆς κοπρίας.
13Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the valley gate. They built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and one thousand cubits of the wall to the dung gate.
14καὶ τὴν πύλην τῆς κοπρίας ἐκράτησε Μελχία υἱὸς Ρηχὰβ ἄρχων περιχώρου Βηθακχαρίμ, αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐσκέπασαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἔστησαν θύρας αὐτῆς καὶ κλεῖθρα αὐτῆς καὶ μοχλοὺς αὐτῆς.
14Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth Haccherem, repaired the dung gate. He built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.
15τὴν δὲ πύλην τῆς πηγῆς ἠσφαλίσατο Σαλωμὼν υἱὸς Χολεζὲ ἄρχων μέρους τῆς Μασφά· αὐτὸς ἐξῳκοδόμησεν αὐτὴν καὶ ἐστέγασεν αὐτὴν καὶ ἔστησε τὰς θύρας αὐτῆς καὶ μοχλοὺς αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ τεῖχος κολυμβήθρας τῶν κωδίων τῇ κουρᾷ τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἕως τῶν κλιμάκων τῶν καταβαινουσῶν ἀπὸ πόλεως Δαυίδ.
15Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah, repaired the spring gate. He built it, covered it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars; and he repaired the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even to the stairs that go down from David’s city.
16ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ ἐκράτησε Νεεμίας υἱὸς Ἀζαβοὺχ ἄρχων ἡμίσους περιχώρου Βηθσοὺρ ἕως κήπου τάφου Δαυὶδ καὶ ἕως τῆς κολυμβήθρας τῆς γεγονυίας καὶ ἕως Βηθαγγαρίμ.
16After him, Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth Zur, made repairs to the place opposite the tombs of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty men.
17ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ ἐκράτησαν οἱ Λευῖται, Ραοὺμ υἱὸς Βανί. ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐκράτησεν Ἀσαβία ἄρχων ἡμίσους περιχώρου Κεϊλὰ τῷ περιχώρῳ αὐτοῦ.
17After him, the Levites—Rehum the son of Bani made repairs. Next to him, Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, made repairs for his district.
18καὶ μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησαν ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν Βενεΐ υἱὸς Ἠναδὰδ ἄρχων ἡμίσους περιχώρου Κεϊλά.
18After him, their brothers, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah made repairs.
19καὶ ἐκράτησαν ἐπὶ χεῖρα αὐτοῦ Ἀζοὺρ υἱὸς Ἰησοῦ, ἄρχων τοῦ Μασφαί, μέτρον δεύτερον πύργου ἀναβάσεως τῆς συναπτούσης τῆς γωνίας.
19Next to him, Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, repaired another portion across from the ascent to the armory at the turning of the wall.
20μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησε Βαροὺχ υἱὸς Ζαβοῦ μέτρον δεύτερον ἀπὸ τῆς γωνίας ἕως θύρας Βηθελιασοὺβ τοῦ ἱερέως τοῦ μεγάλου.
20After him, Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another portion, from the turning of the wall to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.
21μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησε Μεραμὼθ υἱὸς Οὐρία, υἱοῦ Ἀκκώς, μέτρον δεύτερον ἀπὸ θύρας Βηθελιασοὺβ ἕως ἐκλείψεως Βηθελιασούβ.
21After him, Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz repaired another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib.
22καὶ μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς ἄνδρες Ἐκχεχάρ.
22After him, the priests, the men of the surrounding area made repairs.
23καὶ μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησε Βενιαμὶν καὶ Ἀσοὺβ κατέναντι οἴκου αὐτῶν. καὶ μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησεν Ἀζαρίας υἱὸς Μαασίου, υἱοῦ Ἀνανία ἐχόμενα οἴκου αὐτοῦ.
23After them, Benjamin and Hasshub made repairs across from their house. After them, Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah made repairs beside his own house.
24καὶ μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησε Βανὶ υἱὸς Ἀδὰδ μέτρον δεύτερον ἀπὸ Βηθαζαρία ἕως τῆς γωνίας καὶ ἕως τῆς καμπῆς
24After him, Binnui the son of Henadad repaired another portion, from the house of Azariah to the turning of the wall, and to the corner.
25Φαλὰχ υἱοῦ Εὐζαΐ ἐξεναντίας τῆς γωνίας, καὶ ὁ πύργος ὁ ἐξέχων ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ βασιλέως ὁ ἀνώτερος ὁ τῆς αὐλῆς τῆς φυλακῆς. καὶ μετ' αὐτὸν Φαδαΐα υἱὸς Φόρος.
25Palal the son of Uzai made repairs opposite the turning of the wall, and the tower that stands out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh made repairs.
26καὶ οἱ ναθινὶμ ἦσαν οἰκοῦντες ἐν τῷ Ὠφὰλ ἕως κήπου πύλης τοῦ ὕδατος εἰς ἀνατολάς, καὶ ὁ πύργος ὁ ἐξέχων.
26(Now the temple servants lived in Ophel, to the place opposite the water gate toward the east, and the tower that stands out.)
27καὶ μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησαν οἱ Θεκωΐμ μέτρον δεύτερον ἐξεναντίας τοῦ πύργου τοῦ μεγάλου τοῦ ἐξέχοντος καὶ ἕως τοῦ τείχους τοῦ Ὀφλά.
27After him the Tekoites repaired another portion, opposite the great tower that stands out, and to the wall of Ophel.
28ἀνώτερον πύλης τῶν ἵππων ἐκράτησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς, ἀνὴρ ἐξεναντίας οἴκου ἑαυτοῦ.
28Above the horse gate, the priests made repairs, everyone across from his own house.
29καὶ μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησε Σαδδοὺκ υἱὸς Ἐμμὴρ ἐξεναντίας οἴκου ἑαυτοῦ. καὶ μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησε Σαμαΐα υἱὸς Σεχενία φύλαξ τῆς πύλης τῆς ἀνατολῆς.
29After them, Zadok the son of Immer made repairs across from his own house. After him, Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate, made repairs.
30μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησεν Ἀνανία υἱὸς Σελεμία καὶ Ἀνὼμ υἱὸς Σελέφ, ὁ ἕκτος, μέτρον δεύτερον. μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησε Μεσουλὰμ υἱὸς Βαραχία ἐξεναντίας γαζοφυλακίου αὐτοῦ.
30After him, Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun, the sixth son of Zalaph, repaired another portion. After him, Meshullam the son of Berechiah made repairs across from his room.
31μετ' αὐτὸν ἐκράτησε Μελχία υἱὸς τοῦ Σαρεφὶ ἕως Βηθαναθινὶμ καὶ οἱ ροπωπῶλαι ἀπέναντι πύλης τοῦ Μαφεκὰδ καὶ ἕως ἀναβάσεως τῆς καμπῆς.
31After him, Malchijah, one of the goldsmiths to the house of the temple servants, and of the merchants, made repairs opposite the gate of Hammiphkad and to the ascent of the corner.
32καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῆς πύλης τῆς προβατικῆς ἐκράτησαν οἱ χαλκεῖς καὶ οἱ ροπωπῶλαι.
32Between the ascent of the corner and the sheep gate, the goldsmiths and the merchants made repairs.
33Καὶ ἐγένετο ἡνίκα ἤκουσε Σαναβαλλὰτ ὅτι ἡμεῖς οἰκοδομοῦμεν τὸ τεῖχος, καὶ πονηρὸν αὐτῷ ἐφάνη, καὶ ὠργίσθη ἐπὶ πολὺ καὶ ἐξεγέλα ἐπὶ τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις.

34καὶ εἶπεν ἐνώπιον τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ· αὕτη ἡ δύναμις Σομόρων, ὅτι οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι οὗτοι οἰκοδομοῦσι τὴν ἑαυτῶν πόλιν; ἆρα θυσιάζουσιν; ἆρα δυνήσονται; καὶ σήμερον ἰάσονται τοὺς λίθους μετὰ τὸ χῶμα γενέσθαι γῆς καυθέντας;
