1In the beginning of the reign of Joakim the son of Josias king of Juda, came this word from the Lord, saying:
1Tia paht tukun Jehoiakim, wen natul Josiah, el tokosrala lun Judah,
2Thus saith the Lord: Stand in the court of the house of the Lord, and speak to all the cities of Juda, out of which they come, to adore in the house of the Lord, all the words which I have commanded thee to to speak unto them: leave not out one word.
2LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik, “Tu in kalkal lun Tempul ac sulkakin ma nukewa nga sapkin nu sum in fahkak nu sin mwet su tuku liki siti lun Judah in alu we. Nimet kom sisla siefanna kas.
3If so be they will hearken and be converted every one from his evil way; that I may repent me of the evil that I think to do unto them for the wickedness of their doings.
3Sahp mwet uh ac porongo ac forla liki ouiya koluk lalos. Elos fin oru ouinge, na nga fah ekulla nunak luk ac tia kunauselosla oana ke nga tuh akoo in oru ke sripen orekma koluk nukewa lalos.”
4And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord: If you will not hearken to me to walk in my law, which I have given to you:
4LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik in fahk nu sin mwet uh, “Nga, LEUM GOD , fahk mu kowos enenu in akosyu, ac fahsr tukun mwe luti nga sot nu suwos,
5To give ear to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent to you rising up early: and sending, and you have not hearkened:
5ac lohang nu ke kas lun mwet kulansap luk mwet palu, su nga nuna supu nu yuruwos. Kowos tiana akos ma elos fahk.
6I will make this house like Silo: and I will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.
6Kowos fin oeoelana in seakos, na nga ac oru nu ke Tempul se inge oana ma nga tuh oru nu ke Shiloh, ac mutunfacl nukewa fin faclu fah orekmakin inen siti se inge oana sie mwe selnga.”
7And the priests, and the prophets, and all the people heard Jeremias speaking these words in the house of the Lord.
7Mwet tol, mwet palu, ac mwet nukewa lohng ke nga fahk ma inge in Tempul,
8And when Jeremias made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests, and the prophets, and all the people laid hold on him, saying: Let him be put to death.
8na tukunna nga fahkla tari ma nukewa ma LEUM GOD El sapkin ngan fahk, elos sruokyuwi ac wowo ac fahk, “Kom enenu na in anwuki!
9Why hath he prophesied in the name of the Lord, saying: This house shall be like Silo; and this city shall be made desolate, without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered together against Jeremias in the house of the Lord.
9Efu kom ku fahk ke Inen LEUM GOD mu Tempul se inge ac fah oana Shiloh, ac siti se inge ac fah kunausyukla ac wangin mwet ac fah muta we?” Na mwet uh rireni rauniyula.
10And the princes of Juda heard these words: and they went up from the king’s house into the house of the Lord, and sat in the entry of the new gate of the house of the Lord.
10Ke mwet kol lun Judah lohng ma sikyak inge, elos sulaklak tuku liki inkul fulat sin tokosra nu ke Tempul, ac muta ke acn selos ke Mutunpot Sasu.
11And the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes, and to all the people, saying: The judgement of death is for this man: because he hath prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.
11Na mwet tol ac mwet palu fahk nu sin mwet kol ac nu sin mwet uh, “Mwet se inge fal in anwuki, mweyen el kaskas lain siti sesr uh. Kowos sifacna lohng ma el fahk inge.”
12Then Jeremias spoke to all the princes, and to all the people, saying: The Lord sent me to prophesy concerning this house, and concerning this city all the words you have heard.
12Na nga fahk, “ LEUM GOD El supweyume in sulkakin ma nukewa ma kowos lohng nga fahk lain Tempul se inge ac lain siti se inge.
13Now therefore amend your ways, and your doings, and hearken to the voice of the Lord your God: and the Lord will repent of the evil that he hath spoken against you.
13Kowos enenu in ekulla ouiyen moul lowos ac ma kowos oru, ac enenu in akos LEUM GOD lowos. Kowos fin oru ouinge, El ac ekulla pwapa in kunausten ma El akoo in oru nu suwos.
14But as for me, behold I am in your hands: do with me what is good and right in your eyes:
14Ac funu keik, nga oasr inpouwos! Oru kutena ma kowos nunku mu fal ku suwohs.
15But know ye, and understand, that if you put me to death, you will shed innocent blood against your own selves, and against this city, and the inhabitants thereof. For in truth the Lord sent me to you, to speak all these words in your hearing.
15Tusruktu kowos in arulana etu lah kowos fin uniyuwi, kowos uniya sie mwet wangin mwata, na oasr mwatuwos ac mwet in siti se inge ke akmas, mweyen LEUM GOD pa supweyume in fahk ma inge in sensenkakin kowos.”
16Then the princes, and all the people said to the priests, and to the prophets: There is no judgement of death for this man: for he hath spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.
16Na mwet kol ac mwet uh fahk nu sin mwet tol ac mwet palu, “Mwet se inge kaskas nu sesr ke Inen LEUM GOD lasr. Tia fal in anwuki el.”
17And some of the ancients of the land rose up: and they spoke to all the assembly of the people, saying:
17Tukun ma ine, kutu sin mwet matu tuyak ac fahk nu sin mwet su tukeni,
18Micheas of Morasthi was a prophet in the days of Ezechias king of Juda, and he spoke to all the people of Juda, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Sion shall be ploughed like a field, and Jerusalem shall be a heap of stones: and the mountain of the house the high places of woods.
18“Ke pacl se Hezekiah el tuh tokosra lun Judah, mwet palu Micah lun Moresheth el fahkang nu sin walil sac nufon lah LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk mu, ‘Zion ac fah pukpukyak oana sie ima. Jerusalem fah oana sie yol in ma kulawi, Ac inging in Tempul fah ekla oana insak uh!’
19Did Ezechias king of Juda, and all Juda, condemn him to death? did they not fear the Lord, and beseech the face of the Lord: and the Lord repented of the evil that they had spoken against them? therefore we are doing a great evil against our souls.
19Tokosra Hezekiah ac mwet Judah tuh tiana unilya Micah, a Hezekiah el tuh akfulatye LEUM GOD ac kwafe tuh Elan pakoten nu sel. Na LEUM GOD El aolla nunak lal liki kunausten ma El tuh fahk mu El ac use nu faclos. Ac inge, kut apkuran in sifacna use sie kunausten lulap nu facsr.” (
20There was also a man that prophesied in the name of the Lord, Urias the son of Semei of Cariathiarim: and he prophesied against this city, and against this land, according to all the words of Jeremias.
20Tuh oasr pac mukul se, pangpang Uriah wen natul Shemaiah in acn Kiriath Jearim, su tuh kaskas ke Inen LEUM GOD lain siti se inge ac mutunfacl se inge, oana ke Jeremiah el oru.
21And Joakim, and all his men in power, and his princes heard these words: and the king sought to put him to death. And Urias heard it, and was afraid, and fled and went into Egypt.
21Ke Tokosra Jehoiakim, ac mwet mweun ac mwet fulat lal lohng ma Uriah el tuh fahk, na tokosra el tuh srike in sang elan anwuki. Tusruktu Uriah el lohngak, oru el sangeng ac kaingla nu Egypt.
22And king Joakim sent men into Egypt, Elnathan the son of Achobor, and men with him into Egypt.
22Na Tokosra Jehoiakim el supwalla Elnathan wen natul Achbor, ac kutu pac mukul nu Egypt in usalu Uriah.
23And they brought Urias out of Egypt: and brought him to king Joakim, and he slew him with the sword: and he cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.
23Elos folokunulma nu yorol Tokosra Jehoiakim, su sap in anwuki el, ac manol sisiyang nu in kulyuk lun mwet pusisel.)
24So the hand of Ahicam the son of Saphan was with Jeremias, that he should not be delivered into the hands of the people, to put him to death.
24Tusruktu ke sripen kasru lal Ahikam wen natul Shaphan, elos tia eisyuyang nu inpoun mwet uh in anwuki nga.
