Tongan Bible, Revised West Version
1Arise, arise, put on thy strength, O Sion, put on the garments of thy glory, O Jerusalem, the city of the Holy One: for henceforth the uncircumcised, and unclean shall no more pass through thee.
1Ke ke ʻā, ke ke ʻā; ʻai ho mālohi, ʻE Saione; ʻai ho ngaahi kofu matamatalelei, ʻE Selūsalema, ʻae kolo māʻoniʻoni: koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai toe hū kiate koe ʻae taʻekamu mo e taʻemaʻa.
2Shake thyself from the dust, arise, sit up, O Jerusalem: loose the bonds from off thy neck, O captive daughter of Sion.
2Tupeʻi koe mei he efu; tuʻu hake, pea nofo hifo, ʻE Selūsalema: vete koe mei he ngaahi haʻi ʻo ho kia, ʻE ʻofefine pōpula ʻo Saione.
3For thus saith the Lord: You were sold gratis, and you shall be redeemed without money.
3He ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, “Kuo mou fakatau ʻakimoutolu taʻehatotongi; pea ʻe huhuʻi ʻakimoutolu taʻehapaʻanga.
4For thus saith the Lord God: My people went down into Egypt at the beginning to sojourn there: and the Assyrian hath oppressed them without any cause at all.
4He ʻoku pehē ʻe he ʻEiki ko Sihova, “Naʻe ʻalu hifo ʻi muʻa ʻa hoku kakai ki ʻIsipite ke nofo ai; pea naʻe fakamālohiʻi taʻetotonu ʻakinautolu ʻe he kakai ʻAsilia.
5And now what have I here, saith the Lord: for my people is taken away gratis. They that rule over them treat them unjustly, saith the Lord, and my name is continually blasphemed all the day long.
5“Pea ko eni,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, “Ko e hā ʻoku ou maʻu ni, koeʻuhi ʻoku ʻave taʻehanoʻuhinga ʻa hoku kakai? Ko kinautolu ʻoku pule kiate kinautolu ʻoku nau fakaioho mamahi ʻakinautolu, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, pea ʻoku kapea maʻu pe ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē ʻa hoku huafa.
6Therefore my people shall know my name in that day: for I myself that spoke, behold I am here.
6Ko ia ʻe ʻilo ai ʻa hoku huafa ʻe hoku kakai: Pea te nau ʻilo ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, Ko au ia ʻoku folofola. “Vakai, ko au ia.
7How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, and that preacheth peace: of him that sheweth forth good, that preacheth salvation, that saith to Sion: Thy God shall reign!
7Hono ʻikai fakaʻofoʻofa ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻae vaʻe ʻo ia ʻoku ʻomi ʻae ongoongolelei, ʻaia ʻoku fakahā ʻae melino; ʻaia ʻoku ʻomi ʻae ongoongolelei ʻoe lelei, mo ne fakahā ʻae fakamoʻui; ʻaia ʻoku pehē ki Saione, “ʻOku pule ʻa ho ʻOtua!”
8The voice of thy watchmen: they have lifted up their voice, they shall praise together: for they shall see eye to eye when the Lord shall convert Sion.
8‌ʻE hiki hake ʻae leʻo ʻo ho kau tangata leʻo; pea ʻe fakataha honau leʻo ʻonau hiva: he te nau mamata ko e mata ki he mata, ʻoka toe ʻomi ʻe Sihova ʻa Saione.
9Rejoice, and give praise together, O ye deserts of Jerusalem: for the Lord hath comforted his people: he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
9Ke hā mai ʻi he fiefia, hiva fakataha, ʻakimoutolu ʻae ngaahi potu lala ʻo Selūsalema, he kuo fakafiemālieʻi ʻe Sihova ʻa hono kakai, kuo ne huhuʻi ʻa Selūsalema.
10The Lord hath prepared his holy arm in the sight of all the Gentiles: and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
10Kuo fakahā ʻe Sihova ʻa hono nima ʻi he ʻao ʻoe ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē; pea ʻe mamata ʻe he ngaahi ngataʻanga kotoa pē ʻo māmani ʻae fakamoʻui ʻa hotau ʻOtua.
11Depart, depart, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing: go out of the midst of her, be ye clean, you that carry the vessels of the Lord.
11‌ʻAlu ʻakimoutolu, ʻalu ʻakimoutolu, mou ʻalu atu mei ai, ʻoua ʻe ala ki ha meʻa taʻemaʻa; ʻalu ʻakimoutolu mei he lotolotonga ʻo ia; ke maʻa ʻakimoutolu ʻoku mou fua ʻae ngaahi ipu ʻa Sihova.
12For you shall not go out in a tumult, neither shall you make haste by flight: For the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will gather you together.
12Koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai te mou ʻalu atu fakavave, pe ʻalu ʻi he hola: he ko Sihova ʻe muʻomuʻa ʻiate kimoutolu; pea ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli ʻe muimui ʻiate kimoutolu.
13Behold my servant shall understand, he shall be exalted, and extolled, and shall be exceeding high.
13Vakai, ʻe fai fakapotopoto ʻa ʻeku tamaioʻeiki, ʻe hakeakiʻi ia pea fakaongolelei, pea te ne māʻolunga ʻaupito.
14As many have been astonished at thee, so shall his visage be inglorious among men, and his form among the sons of men.
14‌ʻO hangē naʻe ofo ʻae tokolahi kiate ia, he liliu ʻo kovi hono fofonga ʻo lahi hake ʻi he tangata kotoa pē, mo hono sino ʻo lahi hake ʻi he ngaahi foha ʻoe tangata.
15He shall sprinkle many nations, kings shall shut their mouth at him: for they to whom it was not told of him, have seen: and they that heard not, have beheld.
