Bible Mutal (Kosraean)
1If thou go out to war against thy enemies, and see horsemen and chariots, and the numbers of the enemy’s army greater than thine, thou shalt not fear them: because the Lord thy God is with thee, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt.
1“Pacl kowos illa in mweun lain mwet lokoalok lowos, ac kowos liye chariot ac horse ac sie un mwet mweun su pus liki kowos, kowos, in tia sangeng selos. LEUM GOD lowos, su molikowosla ac uskowosme liki facl Egypt, El ac fah wi kowos.
2And when the battle is now at hand, the priest shall stand before the army, and shall speak to the people in this manner:
2Meet liki kowos mutawauk mweun, sie mwet tol fah fahsryak nu meet uh ac fahk nu sin un mwet mweun,
3Hear, O Israel, you join battle this day against your enemies, let not your heart be dismayed, be not afraid, do not give back, fear ye them not:
3‘Mukul Israel, porongo! Misenge kowos ac som mweun. Nikmet sangeng sin mwet lokoalok lowos, a kowos in pulaik ac tia sensen ku fosrnga.
4Because the Lord your God is in the midst of you, and will fight for you against your enemies, to deliver you from danger.
4LEUM GOD lowos El ac wi kowos, ac El ac sot kutangla nu suwos.’
5And the captains shall proclaim through every band in the hearing of the army: What man is there, that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
5“Na mwet kol lun un mwet mweun uh ac fah fahk nu sin mwet uh, ‘Su suwos tufahna musaela lohm se sel ma soenna kisakunla? Fin oasr, na elan folokla nu lohm sel uh, mweyen el fin tuh anwuki ke mweun uh, siena mwet ac tuh kisaela lohm sel uh.
6What man is there, that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not as yet made it to be common, whereof all men may eat? let him go, and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man execute his office.
6Su suwos tufahna yukwiya sie ima in grape, a soenna kosrani fahko kac? Fin oasr, elan folokla, mweyen el fin tuh misa ke mweun uh, siena mwet ac tuh kang fahko kac.
7What man is there, that hath espoused a wife, and not taken her? let him go, and return to his house, lest he die in the war, and another man take her.
7Su suwos akoo in payukyak a soenna alula? Fin oasr, elan folokla nu yen sel, mweyen el fin tuh misa ke mweun uh, siena mwet ac payukyak sin mutan se el ako se uh.’
8After these things are declared they shall add the rest, and shall speak to the people: What man is there that is fearful, and faint hearted? let him go, and return to his house, lest he make the hearts of his brethren to fear, as he himself is possessed with fear.
8“Mwet kol fah oayapa fahk nu sin mwet uh, ‘Su suwos munasla nanka ac sangeng? Fin oasr, elan folokla, mweyen el fin wi kut, el ac akmunasyela nunkun mwet mweun wial uh.’
9And when the captains of the army shall hold their peace, and have made an end of speaking, every man shall prepare their bands to fight.
9Ke mwet kol elos sramsram tari nu sin un mwet mweun uh, elos fah pakiya mwet in kol kais sie u.”
10If at any time thou come to fight against a city, thou shalt first offer it peace.
10“Ke kowos som in mweuni sie siti, ma se meet kowos in oru pa in akkalemye nu sin mwet we ke inkanek in orek misla.
11If they receive it, and open the gates to thee, all the people that are therein, shall be saved, and shall serve thee paying tribute.
11Elos fin insese in suk misla, na elos nukewa fah mwet kohs lowos ac oru kutena orekma kowos sapkin nu selos.
12But if they will not make peace, and shall begin war against thee, thou shalt besiege it.
12Tusruktu mwet in siti sac fin tia insese in suk misla, a elos sulela in mweun, kowos fah kuhlusya in mweunelos.
13And when the Lord thy God shall deliver it into thy bands, thou shalt slay all that are therein of the male sex, with the edge of the sword,
13Na ke LEUM GOD lowos El oru tuh kowos in kutangla siti sac, kowos fah uniya mukul nukewa we.
14Excepting women and children, cattle and other things, that are in the city. And thou shalt divide all the prey to the army, and thou shalt eat the spoils of thy enemies, which the Lord thy God shall give thee.
14Tusruktu, kowos ku in eis mutan, tulik, kosro, ac ma nukewa saya tuh in ma wap lowos. Kowos in insewowokin ma nukewa lun mwet lokoalok lowos, su LEUM GOD El sot nu suwos.
15So shalt thou do to all cities that are at a great distance from thee, and are not of these cities which thou shalt receive in possession.
15Pa inge ma kowos ac oru nu ke siti nukewa ma oan loessula liki acn kowos ac muta we.
16But of those cities that shall be given thee, thou shalt suffer none at all to live:
16“Tusruktu, ke kowos ac kutangla siti in facl se su LEUM GOD lowos El asot nu suwos, kowos in onela mwet ac kosro nukewa.
17But shalt kill them with the edge of the sword, to wit, the Hethite, and the Amorrhite, and the Chanaanite, the Pherezite, and the Hevite, and the Jebusite, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:
17Kunausla mwet nukewa: mwet Hit, mwet Amor, mwet Canaan, mwet Periz, mwet Hiv ac mwet Jebus, oana LEUM GOD El sapkin nu suwos.
18Lest they teach you to do all the abominations which they have done to their gods: and you should sin against the Lord your God.
18Onelosla nukewa elos in tia luti kowos ouiya ma srungayuk ma elos oru ke elos alu nu sin god lalos, ma pwanang kowos orekma koluk lain LEUM GOD .
19When thou hast besieged a city a long time, and hath compassed it with bulwarks to take it, thou shalt not cut down the trees that may be eaten of, neither shalt thou spoil the country round about with axes: for it is a tree, and not a man, neither can it increase the number of them that fight against thee.
19“Ke pacl kowos srike in sruokya sie siti, kowos in tia pakiya sak ma oasr fahko kac, kowos finne kuhlusya acn sac ke pacl na loes. Kang fokinsak kac, tusruk nimet pakela sak uh. Mwet lokoalok lowos pa mwet we, tia sak we.
20But if there be any trees that are not fruitful, but wild, and fit for other uses, cut them down, and make engines, until thou take the city, which fighteth against thee.
20Kowos ku in pakiya sak nukewa ma wangin fahko kac, in orek nien fan nu in siti sacn nwe ke kowos sruokya.
