Kadede Kap (Pohnpeian New Testament and Psalms)
1But a certain man named Ananias, with Saphira his wife, sold a piece of land,
1A ol amen ad a Ananiaj o a paud Japira netikila jap eu,
2And by fraud kept back part of the price of the land, his wife being privy thereunto: and bringing a certain part of it, laid it at the feet of the apostles.
2Ap okijan kijan pwain a, me a paud ian aja, o wado lu en moni, pwilikidi ni aluwilu en wanporon akan.
3But Peter said: Ananias, why hath Satan tempted thy heart, that thou shouldst lie to the Holy Ghost, and by fraud keep part of the price of the land?
3A Petruj majani: Ananiaj menda Jatan kadirela monion om, pwen likam on Nen jaraui o okijan kijan pwain en jap o?
4Whilst it remained, did it not remain to thee? and after it was sold, was it not in thy power? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thy heart? Thou hast not lied to men, but to God.
4Kaidin udan om, ma a jota pan netila? O kaidin injen om ni a netilar? A menda koe inauki on nan pein monion om mepukat? Kaidin aramaj, me koe likam on, pwe on Kot.
5And Ananias hearing these words, fell down, and gave up the ghost. And there came great fear upon all that heard it.
5Ananiaj lao ronadar majan pukat, ap pupedi mela. A karoj, me roneron mepukat, majakadar kaualap.
6And the young men rising up, removed him, and carrying him out, buried him.
6A manakap oko ap udar, kidim pena i, wala jan, jarepedier.
7And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.
7Kadekadeo murin auer jilu a paud pwarado, a jota aja, me wiauier.
8And Peter said to her: Tell me, woman, whether you sold the land for so much? And she said: Yea, for so much.
8Petruj ap majani on i: Katiti on ia, ma koma netikila jap o ni pwain wet? A japen: Ei i eta.
9And Peter said unto her: Why have you agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold the feet of them who have buried thy husband are at the door, and they shall carry thee out.
9Petruj ap majani on i: Menda koma inauki pena, en kajonejon Nen on Kaun o? Kilan, na en me jaropedier om paud miermon wanim o, o re pan wa uk ala.
10Immediately she fell down before his feet, and gave up the ghost. And the young men coming in, found her dead: and carried her out, and buried her by her husband.
10I ap madan pupedi ni aluwilu a mela. A manakap oko lau pedelon on, rap kilanada, me a melar, re ap wala jan o jarepedi i impan a paud.
11And there came great fear upon the whole church, and upon all that heard these things.
11Lomui kaualap kipadi momodijou karoj, o karoj me roneron mepukat.
12And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.
12A kilel o manaman akan toto wiauiki lim en wanporon akan nan pun en aramaj akan. Irail karoj kot pena nan palank en jamolo ni lamalam ta pot.
13But of the rest no man durst join himself unto them; but the people magnified them.
13A jota amen jan ren men liki kan kak pat on irail, pwe karoj waune kin irail.
14And the multitude of men and women who believed in the Lord, was more increased:
14A me toto, me pojonlar wuki on Kaun o irail me totoia, ni o Ii akan.
15Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that when Peter came, his shadow at the least, might overshadow any of them, and they might be delivered from their infirmities.
15Irail wala me jomau kan pon al akan, pwiliki irail edi pon pet, o ro akan, pwe mot en Petruj en lel on amen irail, a Iau kotido.
16And there came also together to Jerusalem a multitude out of the neighboring cities, bringing sick persons, and such as were troubled with unclean spirits; who were all healed.
16A toun kanim akan, me mi impa, pwaradon Ierujalem, wado me jomau o me kalokolokki nen jaut, akai, irail karoj ap kelailadar.
17Then the high priest rising up, and all they that were with him, (which is the heresy of the Sadducees,) were filled with envy.
17A jamero lapalap o karoj me ian i, me pwin en jadujar, ap uda makar kida kaualap,
18And they laid hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
18Koledi wanporon akan o ki irail la nan imaten.
19But an angel of the Lord by night opening the doors of the prison, and leading them out, said:
19A tounlan en Kaun o kotin ritinada wanim en imaten oko ni pon, o kotin kalua irail la liki majani:
20Go, and standing speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
20Komail kola janjal mon aramaj, padaki on irail nan im en kaudok duen majan kan karoj en maur wet.
21Who having heard this, early in the morning, entered into the temple, and taught. And the high priest coming, and they that were with him, called together the council, and all the ancients of the children of Israel; and they sent to the prison to have them brought.
21Irail lao ronadar met, rap jankonai on nan im en kaudok o kaweweda. A jamero lapalap o ian oko ap kodo, eker pena kapun, o jaumaj en men Ijrael akan karoj, o ilakwei on imaten o, pwe irail en wijikedo.
22But when the ministers came, and opening the prison, found them not there, they returned and told,
22A ladu kan lao pwarado, rap diaradar, me re jolar mi nan imaten o, re ap purodo katitiki,
23Saying: The prison indeed we found shut with all diligence, and the keepers standing before the doors; but opening it, we found no man within.
23Indada: Je diaradar imaten a ritidier mau, o pwin jilepa ar uda mon wanim oko, a je lao ritinadar, jota amen me je diar lole.
24Now when the officer of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were in doubt concerning them, what would come to pass.
24A kapin en im en kaudok, o jamero lapalap akan lao ronada duen lokaia pukat, re ap ponepon kidar o jota aja, da imwin mepukat.
25But one came and told them: Behold, the men whom you put in prison are in the temple standing, and teaching the people.
25Amen ap pwarado kaire kin irail: Kilan, ol oko, me komail kilan nan imaten, u nan im en kaudok, padapadaki on aramaj akan.
26Then went the officer with the ministers, and brought them without violence; for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.
26Kapin ianaki ladu kai ap koieila uk irail do, a re kadek on irail, pwe re majak aramaj akan, pwe re de kate irail.
27And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them,
27Irail wa ir do, ap kidi on mon kapun o, a jamero lapalap idok re ’rail.
28Saying: Commanding we commanded you, that you should not teach in this name; and behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and you have a mind to bring the blood of this man upon us.
28Majani: Kit jo inapwi komail edi kaualap, me komail ender kawewe ni mar wet? A kilan, komail kadire kila Ierujalem omail lamalam o, o komail kin men kapokon on kit ntan aramaj men et.
29But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men.
29Petruj o wanporon akan ap japen majani: Kitail en oke Kot mon aramaj.
30The God of our fathers hath raised up Jesus, whom you put to death, hanging him upon a tree.
30Kot en jam atail akan kaiajadar Iejuj, me komail kamatalar, pwe komail pajuredier I on ni lopu eu.
31Him hath God exalted with his right hand, to be Prince and Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.
31Nan i me Kot kotin kajapwila kidar pali maun a, pwen Kaun o Jaunkamaur, pwen kotiki on men Ijrael, en kalula o lapwa pan dip akan.
32And we are witnesses of these things and the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to all that obey him.
32A kit me japwilim a jaunkadede ni mepukat, pil Nen jaraui me Kot kotiki oner ren me peiki on i.
33When they had heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they thought to put them to death.
33Irail lao ronadar met, re ap linaranar kaualap o kapikapiki pena, en kame ir ala.
34But one in the council rising up, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, respected by all the people, commanded the men to be put forth a little while.
34Amen ap uda nan kapun o, Parijar amen ad a Kamaliel, jaunkawewe amen, me majamaj ren aramaj karoj, me majani, ren kila liki ol oko anjau kij.
35And he said to them: Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do, as touching these men.
35A majani on irail: Ol en Ijrael komail, kalaka aramaj pukat, me komail pan wia!
36For before these days rose up Theodas, affirming himself to be somebody, to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all that believed him were scattered, and brought to nothing.
36Pwe ni ran tei ko Teudaj udar ponmajoki, me a me lapalap, a ol impan papuki ianala i, I ari kamelar o karoj, me peiki on i, muei pajan o joredier.
37After this man, rose up Judas of Galilee, in the days of the enrolling, and drew away the people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as consented to him, were dispersed.
37A murin ol o Iudaj en Kalilaa ap uda ni anjaun wadawad o kaweid japun aramaj toto, ren tuki on i. Ari, a pil melar o karoj, me ian i, muei pajaner.
38And now, therefore, I say to you, refrain from these men, and let them alone; for if this council or this work be of men, it will come to nought;
38I ap panaui komail, en jopwei jan aramaj pukat, o der doke irail, pwe ma lamalam o wiawia en me ren aramaj, a pan joredi,
39But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest perhaps you be found even to fight against God. And they consented to him.
39A ma ren Kot, komail jota kak kawe ir ala, pwe komail de kadiarokada, me kin palian Kot.
40And calling in the apostles, after they had scourged them, they charged them that they should not speak at all in the name of Jesus; and they dismissed them.
40Irail ari peiki on i. Re lao ekeredo wanporon akan o woki irail, re ap inapwiedi, ren der padak ni mar en Iejuj, o kadar ir ala.
41And they indeed went from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were accounted worthy to suffer reproach for the name of Jesus.
41Irail ari koiei jan ni momod en kadeik o, o peren kida, me re war on kamekameki mar a.
42And every day they ceased not in the temple, and from house to house, to teach and preach Christ Jesus.
42A ran karoj re jota dukedi jan arail kawewe nan im en kaudok o nan deu arail akan, o re padapadaki me Iejuj me Krijtuj.
