1Solches redete Jesus, und hob seine Augen auf gen Himmel und sprach: Vater, die Stunde ist da, daß du deinen Sohn verklärest, auf daß dich dein Sohn auch verkläre;
1When Jesus had spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You.
2Gleichwie du ihm Macht hast gegeben über alles Fleisch, auf daß er das ewige Leben gebe allen, die du ihm gegeben hast.
2For You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him.
3Das ist aber das ewige Leben, daß sie dich, der du allein wahrer Gott bist, und den du gesandt hast, Jesum Christum, erkennen.
3Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.
4Ich habe dich verklärt auf Erden und vollendet das Werk, das du mir gegeben hast, daß ich es tun sollte.
4I have glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work You gave Me to do.
5Und nun verkläre mich du, Vater, bei dir selbst mit der Klarheit, die ich bei dir hatte, ehe die Welt war.
5And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world existed.
6Ich habe deinen Namen offenbart den Menschen, die du mir von der Welt gegeben hast. Sie waren dein, und du hast sie mir gegeben, und sie haben dein Wort behalten.
6I have revealed Your name to those You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours; You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
7Nun wissen sie, daß alles, was du mir gegeben hast, sei von dir.
7Now they know that everything You have given Me comes from You.
8Denn die Worte, die du mir gegeben hast, habe ich ihnen gegeben; und sie haben's angenommen und erkannt wahrhaftig, daß sie glauben, daß du mich gesandt hast.
8For I have given them the words You gave Me, and they have received them. They knew with certainty that I came from You, and they believed that You sent Me.
9Ich bitte für sie und bitte nicht für die Welt, sondern für die, die du mir gegeben hast; denn sie sind dein.
9I ask on their behalf. I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those You have given Me; for they are Yours.
10Und alles, was mein ist, das ist dein, und was dein ist, das ist mein; und ich bin in ihnen verklärt.
10All I have is Yours, and all You have is Mine; and in them I have been glorified.
11Und ich bin nicht mehr in der Welt; sie aber sind in der Welt, und ich komme zu dir. Heiliger Vater, erhalte sie in deinem Namen, die du mir gegeben hast, daß sie eins seien gleichwie wir.
11I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name, the name You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one.
12Dieweil ich bei ihnen war in der Welt, erhielt ich sie in deinem Namen. Die du mir gegeben hast, die habe ich bewahrt, und ist keiner von ihnen verloren, als das verlorene Kind, daß die Schrift erfüllet würde.
12While I was with them, I protected and preserved them by Your name, the name You gave Me. Not one of them has been lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
13Nun aber komme ich zu dir und rede solches in der Welt, auf daß sie in ihnen haben meine Freude vollkommen.
13But now I am coming to You; and I am saying these things while I am in the world, so that they may have My joy fulfilled within them.
14Ich habe ihnen gegeben dein Wort, und die Welt haßte sie; denn sie sind nicht von der Welt, wie ich denn auch nicht von der Welt bin.
14I have given them Your word and the world has hated them; for they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15Ich bitte nicht, daß du sie von der Welt nehmest, sondern daß du sie bewahrst vor dem Übel.
15I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.
16Sie sind nicht von der Welt, gleichwie ich auch nicht von der Welt bin.
16They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17Heilige sie in deiner Wahrheit; dein Wort ist die Wahrheit.
17Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.
18Gleichwie du mich gesandt hast in die Welt, so sende ich sie auch in die Welt.
18As You sent Me into the world, I have also sent them into the world.
19Ich heilige mich selbst für sie, auf daß auch sie geheiligt seien in der Wahrheit.
19For them I sanctify Myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth.
20Ich bitte aber nicht allein für sie, sondern auch für die, so durch ihr Wort an mich glauben werden,
20I am not asking on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me through their message,
21auf daß sie alle eins seien, gleichwie du, Vater, in mir und ich in dir; daß auch sie in uns eins seien, auf daß die Welt glaube, du habest mich gesandt.
21that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
22Und ich habe ihnen gegeben die Herrlichkeit, die du mir gegeben hast, daß sie eins seien, gleichwie wir eins sind,
22I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one—
23ich in ihnen und du in mir, auf daß sie vollkommen seien in eins und die Welt erkenne, daß du mich gesandt hast und liebest sie, gleichwie du mich liebst.
23I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.
24Vater, ich will, daß, wo ich bin, auch die bei mir seien, die du mir gegeben hast, daß sie meine Herrlichkeit sehen, die du mir gegeben hast; denn du hast mich geliebt, ehe denn die Welt gegründet ward.
24Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
25Gerechter Vater, die Welt kennt dich nicht; ich aber kenne dich, und diese erkennen, daß du mich gesandt hast.
25Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me.
26Und ich habe ihnen deinen Namen kundgetan und will ihn kundtun, auf daß die Liebe, damit du mich liebst, sei in ihnen und ich in ihnen.
26And I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.”
