2 Corinthians 8

Berean Standard Bible
Testamenta Marra (Dieri New Testament)
1Now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the churches of Macedonia.
1Ngaiani jurangu kaukaubai, ngatata worajai, Godaia manjula, ninaia mili wolarali Macedoniani maninala,
2In the terrible ordeal they suffered, their abundant joy and deep poverty overflowed into rich generosity.
2Worderu tanana ketjaketjana marapujeli pirna mankina paraia, ja tanani wangiwangi pirnani tanali marapu jinkina paraia poto pirnaia talkulaia.
3For I testify that they gave according to their ability and even beyond it. Of their own accord,
3Mina tana ngurunguru nganana paraia, ngato jenia morlalu kurai, ja morla tanali jinkina paraia muntali,
4they earnestly pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints.
4Ja jaura marapujeli tana ngaianingu ngatjina paraia, ngaiani poto ngumu ja marangokijiribamalini kana kulikiria maninanto.
5And not only did they do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us, because it was the will of God.
5Ja wata jeruja, worderu ngaiani ngundrana paraia, a‐ai, tana ngopera Kaparani jinkiterina paraia, ja ngadani ngaianingu Godaia jertapaterinandru,
6So we urged Titus to help complete your act of grace, just as he had started it.
6Jeruja ngaiani Titus kurukurubana warai, worderu nulia ngopera wonina paraia, jeruja nulia bakana jurangu jenia poto ngumu mudananto.
7But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness, and in the love we inspired in you —see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
7Worderu jura warupotuni pirna nganai, morlalu ngundranali, ja jaurali, ja ngujamanali, ja jigleri marapujeli, ja jurani ngantjanali ngaianingu, jeruja jura bakana pirna nganananto nunkangupini poto ngumuni.
8I am not making a demand, but I am testing the sincerity of your love in comparison to the earnestness of others.
8Wata jirijiribana jeribaka ngani jenia jatai, a‐ai, ngangau mili wolara pilki jigleri nganai, ngato bakana jurani ngantjana wontjananto, nauja talku nganai kara.
9For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.
9Ngangau jura ngaiananaia Kaparaia Jesuni Christuni manjula ngujamai, Nauja poto pirna nganana wonti, ja jurangundru wangiwangi pantjina wonti, jura nunkani wangiwangindru poto pirna pantjinanto.
10And this is my opinion about what is helpful for you in this matter: Last year you were the first not only to give, but even to have such a desire.
10Ja karari ngani jurangu jatai ngakani ngundrana; ngangau jenia jurangu ngumu nganai, jura wata windri ngankana, a‐ai, bakana jertapaterina wonina wonti kilpawoldra kulnuni ngopera.
11Now finish the work, so that you may complete it just as eagerly as you began, according to your means.
11Karari bakana ngankana mudanau; ngangau worderu jura manju nganana wonti jertapaterila, jeruja bakana manju ngananau ngankala nunkangundru, mina jura ngamalkai.
12For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.
12Ngangau jertapaterina pararani, nauja talku nganai, worderu nulia ngamalkai, wata jeruja, worderu nulia wata ngamalkai.
13It is not our intention that others may be relieved while you are burdened, but that there may be equality.
13Wata jendrania, mili wolara pilki ngara ngamananto ja jura ketjaketjananto, a‐ai, pratjana jeribaka nganananto.
14At the present time, your surplus will meet their need, so that in turn their surplus will meet your need. Then there will be equality.
14Karari miljarani jurani poto manamiri tanani wangiwangilani pantjinanto, bakana tanani poto manamiri jurani wangiwangilani pantjinanto, ngangau pratjana jeribaka nganananto.
15As it is written: “He who gathered much had no excess, and he who gathered little had no shortfall.”
15Worderu dakanala parai: „Warle marapu kampana warai, wata manamiri ngamalkana warai; ja warle ngalje kampana warai, wata wordu nganana warai.“
16But thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same devotion I have for you.
16Godani jurakokana nganaiatimai, Nulia ninapini jigleri jurangundru Titungu ngarani kurai.
17For not only did he welcome our appeal, but he is eagerly coming to you of his own volition.
17Nulia kurukurubani jaurani ngakanani pankina paraia, ja ngangau nau munta jigleri pirna nganai, nau jurangu palkana paraia.
18Along with Titus we are sending the brother who is praised by all the churches for his work in the gospel.
18Ngaiani nunkangu jelali nina ngatata jinpana paraia, nina mili wolara pratjanali ngantjani jaurani jurakokai.
19More than that, this brother was chosen by the churches to accompany us with the offering —the gracious gift we administer to honor the Lord Himself and to show our eagerness to help.
19Wata windri jenia, a‐ai, nina bakana mili wolarali kurana paraia ngaianini jelapalkanietja nunkangupini poto ngumundru, nina ngaiani ngankingai Kaparaia pirnalaia ja jurani jertapaterinaia.
20We hope to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this generous gift.
20Ja jeruja ngaiani ngandrawalkai, wata kulnujeli ngaianingu jaura madlentji jatananto nunkangupini poto pirnandru, nina ngaiani ngankingai.
21For we are taking great care to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord, but also in the eyes of men.
21Ngangau ngaiani ngundrai mina ngumu nganai, wata windri Kaparani, a‐ai, bakana kanani.
22And we are sending along with them our brother whose earnestness has been proven many times and in many ways, and now even more so by his great confidence in you.
22Ngaiani pudlangunto ngatata ngaianini jinpana paraia, nina ngaiani pota marapuni poto marapu jigleri wontjana wonti, ja nau karari morla jigleri, ngangau nulu jurangu pirna ngundrai.
23As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker among you. As for our brothers, they are messengers of the churches, to the glory of Christ.
23Ngani Titungundru jatanani kara, nau ngakani kamaneli ja marangokanietja nganai jurangu; ngaianini ngatatandru kara, tana mili wolaraia Apostel nganai ja Christuni pirnala;
24In full view of the churches, then, show these men the proof of your love and the reason for our boasting about you.
24Jurani ngantjana, ja ngaianini jurakokaterina jurangundru, tanangu wondraterianau, bakana mili wolaraia mudlani.
