1Now by the mildness and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you—I, Paul, who am humble when face to face with you, but bold when away.
1Nga Paul, kwafe nu suwos ke nunak luk sifacna — nga, su kutu mwet uh fahk mu nga filpap ac tupwek ke pacl nga wi kowos, a nga kaskas upa ke nga muta loes liki kowos. Ke pusisel ac kulang lun Christ nga kwafe suwos
2I beg you that when I come I may not need to be as bold as I expect toward those who presume that we live according to the flesh.
2in tia oru tuh nga in kaskas upa ke pacl nga ac tuku; tuh nga etu na pwaye lah nga ku in kaskas upa nu selos su fahk mu kut orekma ke ouiya lun faclu.
3For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh.
3Pwaye lah kut moul fin faclu, tusruktu kut tia mweun ke lumah lun faclu.
4The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
4Kufwen mweun ma kut orekmakin in mweun lasr tia kufwen mweun lun faclu, a kufwen mwe mweun kulana lun God, ma kut orekmakin in kunausla pot ku lun mwet mweun. Kut kunausla kas in akukuin kikiap;
5We tear down arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
5kut kunausla nunak fulat nukewa su kosrala mwet in etu ke God. Kut kutongya nunak nukewa lun mwet uh, ac oru elos in akos Christ.
6And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, as soon as your obedience is complete.
6Ac tukun kowos akpwayeye inse pwaye lowos, kut ac fah akola in kai kutena mwet su seakos.
7You are looking at outward appearances. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should remind himself that we belong to Christ just as much as he does.
7Kowos liye na likin ma uh. Ya oasr sie mwet inmasrlowos su nunku mu el ma lun Christ? Lela elan sifacna tonel, mweyen kut ma lun Christ oapana el.
8For even if I boast somewhat excessively about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than tearing you down, I will not be ashamed.
8Tuh nga tia mwekin, nga finne konkin yokla ke ku se ma Leum El ase nu sesr — ku se inge ma in musaikowosyak, ac tia in kunauskowosla.
9I do not want to seem to be trying to frighten you by my letters.
9Nga tia lungse kowos in nunku mu nga srike in aksangengye kowos ke leta luk uh.
10For some say, “His letters are weighty and forceful, but his physical presence is unimpressive, and his speaking is of no account.”
10Oasr mwet ac fahk, “Leta lal Paul uh upa ac ku, tusruktu pacl el muta yorosr, el munas ac kas lal uh wangin sripa!”
11Such people should consider that what we are in our letters when absent, we will be in our actions when present.
11Kain mwet se ingan enenu in kalem kac lah wangin ekla inmasrlon ma kut simus ke leta lasr ke pacl kut muta loesla, ac ma kut ac oru ke pacl kut oasr yuruwos.
12We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they show their ignorance.
12Kut ac fah tiana lumwekut sifacna oana elos su oakalos mu elos mwet fulat. Elos arulana lalfon! Elos sifacna orala mwe srikasrak lalos ac sifacna srikalos nu kac, na elos nununkalos sifacna fal nu ke oakwuk lalos inge!
13We, however, will not boast beyond our limits, but only within the field of influence that God has assigned to us—a field that reaches even to you.
13A funu kut, konkin lasr fah tia alukela lupa fal; a ac fah fal na nu ke orekma se su God El oakiya nu sesr, su kowos oasr pac kac.
14We are not overstepping our bounds, as if we had not come to you. Indeed, we were the first to reach you with the gospel of Christ.
14Ac ke sripen kowos oasr ke orekma kunasr inge, kut tiana alukela ma fal ke kut tuh tuku nu yuruwos ac us Pweng Wo ke Christ.
15Neither do we boast beyond our limits in the labors of others. But we hope that as your faith increases, our area of influence among you will greatly increase as well,
15Ke ma inge kut tia konkin ke orekma ma mwet saya orala, su alukela ma God El oaki nu sesr. A kut finsrak mu lulalfongi lowos fah kapak, ac orekma lasr yuruwos fah ku in yokelik, ac pacl nukewa in fal nu ke srikasrak ma God El oakiya.
16so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. Then we will not be boasting in the work already done in another man’s territory.
16Na kut fah ku in fahkak Pweng Wo in kutu pac acn loesla liki kowos, ac tia enenu in konkin ke ma orekla tari sin kutu pac mwet in acn se ma God El sang elos in orekma we.
17Rather, “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”
17A oana ke Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Kutena mwet su lungse konkin, lela elan konkin ke ma Leum El orala.”
18For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
18Tuh mwet se ma Leum El insewowo kac pa ac akfulatyeyuk, ac tia mwet se ma sifacna kaksakunul.
